JOB OPPORTUNITY – RAW MATERIALS WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

Premium Foods Limited (PFL) is a leading Agro-processing company in Ghana located at EjisuKwaso in the Ashanti Region. PFL is looking for a well-organized individual with strong analytical skills who pays attention to details to join the team as a Raw Materials Warehouse Assistant.

Job Profile —

Responsible for organizing warehouse activities by receiving raw materials and maintaining inventory.

Location & Reporting Line —

The role is based at Premium Foods Limited, Kwaso Factory, Kumasi and it reports directly to the Raw Materials Warehouse Supervisor.

Core Job Content (Key Responsibilities) —

• Ensure material received meets quality and quantity specifications
• Grade all incoming maize and record accordingly
• Report materials defects and shortages
• Ensure firm stacks are built
• Monitor stocks for deterioration
• Assist in maintaining stock quality
• Eliminate spillage and wastage of materials
• Perform physical inventory on all raw materials
• Assist stock treatment: fumigation of stocks
• Spraying of stocks and premises
• Assist in baiting/pest control
• Keep records of all transactions with regards to stipulated requirements
• Issue stocks out to meet required specification in quality and quantity
• Adhere to FIFO procedure
•  Ensure correct number of labourers’ report to work
• Train casuals to meet PFL standards
• Use labourers efficiently
• Maintain labour timesheet accurately and submit on time
• Ensure correct number of labourers’ report to work
• Document unexcused absence and take appropriate action to reduce incidence
• Ensure appropriate safety attire is worn
• Enforce SHE policies on labour
• Implement housekeeping schedule

Qualifications, Work Experience & Key Competencies –

• HND Purchasing and Supply/Stores Management.
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in food manufacturing a related field
• Good working knowledge in Planning, budgeting and organizing.
• Thorough understanding of Food Safety Management system and Safety protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to take timely decision to minimise or eliminate wastages
• Ability to trouble shoot any challenge encountered at the warehouse in the course of sales.
• Ability to lead and manage people for success by coordinating with the production, procurement and sales team on site.
• Must have strong analytical and leadership skills
• People management skill
• Attention to details
• Ability to multitask
• Proficient knowledge Microsoft Office
