Position Summary

Nomad is looking for a talented Third Party (3P) Truck Recruiter to join our team. Nomad employs a fleet of both company owned and fully managed 3P vehicles which consist of heavy-duty trucks and trailers as well as lighter tonnage containerized trucks. Nomad’s growth is heavily reliant on our 3P strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, evaluating and onboarding qualified 3P trucks that meet company standards. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the transport industry, and the ability to identify and evaluate 3P trucks. The candidate will have ample opportunity to help shape the structure and strategy of Nomad’s 3P strategy and most importantly will help the Company build a reputation of reliability and excellence in the market.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to attract and recruit 3P Trucks through various channels
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the trucking industry to source qualified 3P Trucks
  • Proactively source and identify qualified 3P trucks that are suitable for Nomad
  • Collaborate with Nomad team members to understand specific requirements and preferences for 3P Trucks
  • Manage and facilitate the onboarding process for new 3Ps. Provide guidance and support to 3Ps during the onboarding process, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources to meet our company’s expectations.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and databases to manage 3P information, applications, and documentation
  • Communicate Nomad’s vision, policies, procedures, and standards to potential 3PsPrepare regular reports on 3P recruitment activities, performance, and compliance metrics
  • Analyze competitor practices and industry benchmarks to develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement in 3P recruitment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university
  • Proven experience in recruitment, or a similar role, preferably within the transport or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Ghana transport industry, including familiarity with 3P dynamics, regulations, and requirements
  • Ability to evaluate and assess 3P trucks and suitability for specific transport projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence potential 3Ps effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple 3P pipelines and recruitment processes simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must speak and write Proficient English
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools
  • Must be able to travel within Ghana as required
