Position Summary

 

Nomad is looking for a talented Fleet Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with Fleet Management which includes: adherence to transport Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), fleet maintenance, fleet inspections, equipment procurement and maintenance, driver training and management. This position requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development in the fields of Operations and Fleet Management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Fleet Manager in managing the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring that vehicles are properly serviced, and repairs are promptly addressed to in a cost-effective manner to minimize downtime and maximize safety.
  • Assist Fleet Manager in developing contingency plans and protocols to address emergencies, accidents, breakdowns, or other unforeseen events. Coordinate with drivers and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective issue management.
  •  Assist Fleet Manager in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and laws, including safety requirements, vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance requirements.
  • Assist Fleet Manager in all vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Assist Fleet Manager in the hiring, training, development and administrative management of Company Drivers.
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of health and safety in all operations.
  • Prepare fleet and driver performance reports, summarizing key metrics and activities.
  • Manage digital and physical documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval of information.
  • Assist in streamlining operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support various operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Must speak and write Proficient English.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
