Position Summary

Nomad is looking for a talented Associate 3P Ops Manager to join our team. Nomad employs a fleet of both company owned and fully managed third party (3P) vehicles which consist of heavy-duty trucks and trailers as well as lighter tonnage containerized trucks. Nomad’s growth is heavily reliant on our 3P strategy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our 3P Partners, ensuring smooth load operations and maintaining high-quality standards. Additionally, you will serve as the 3P primary point of contact at Nomad fostering a positive and collaborative relationship. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the transport industry. The candidate will have ample opportunity to help shape the structure and strategy of Nomad’s 3P strategy and most importantly will help the Company build a reputation of reliability and excellence in the market.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned 3P Partners and 3P Drivers, serving as the primary point of contact for Nomad.
  • Coordinate, communicate and oversee all aspects of load management for assigned 3P trucks
  • Monitor and track assigned 3P truck operations to ensure compliance with Nomad procedures, safety regulations, and specific load requirements
  • Collaborate with Nomad team members to ensure effective coordination and alignment between 3P Partners and Nomad
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to assigned 3P drivers
  • Monitor KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews in order to provide feedback to 3P Partners to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards summarizing operational performance, trends, and key insights of assigned 3P trucks
  • Conduct regular communication and meetings with 3P Partners to ensure alignment, address issues, and provide updates on company policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assigned 3P Partners
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance 3P management practices and streamline operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Four-year engineering or logistics degree from an accredited university
  • Proven experience in transport operations, logistics management, or a similar role within the transport industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Ghana transport industry, including familiarity with 3P dynamics, regulations, and requirements
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee 3P relationships and operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence 3Ps effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple 3P Partners simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must speak and write Proficient English
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Transport Management and tracking software
  • Must be able to travel within Ghana as required
