A Payroll Officer is a professional responsible for managing and processing an organization’s payroll. Their primary focus is to ensure that employees are accurately and timely compensated for their work. Payroll Processing:

Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and other types of compensation.
Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries to employees.
Review timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents to verify hours worked and deductions.
Data Entry and Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the payroll system.
Enter new employee information, update changes in salary, benefits, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
Tax Compliance:

Calculate and withhold taxes, Social Security, and other statutory deductions.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit payroll-related tax reports to relevant authorities.
Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Deduct and manage employee contributions to benefit programs.
Collaborate with HR to resolve benefit-related issues.
Payroll Audits and Reporting:
