OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace within the plastic manufacturing industry. The EHS Trainee will

receive comprehensive training and mentorship to develop expertise in environmental health and safety practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Participate in training programs to gain knowledge of environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
    Shadow experienced EHS professionals to learn best practices in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk management
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with the environmental and safety regulations
  • Assist in preparing reports, documentation, and data analysis related to environmental health and safety initiatives
  • Participate in safety inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Learn to conduct routine safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and protocols
    Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures for various scenarios, including fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.
  • Participate in drills and simulations to enhance emergency response preparedness.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of environmental regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn to use safety equipment and tools used in environmental health and safety inspections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new concepts and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
