Origin Chemist is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Wholesale Manager to join our pharmacy team. The Wholesale Manager will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the procurement and sales of inventory, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of procurement and sales processes, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Management:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze demand trends to optimize stock availability and minimize stockouts.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

2. Sales and Customer Management:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive wholesale business growth and achieve sales targets.
    Identify new sales opportunities and potential clients while nurturing and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and pricing strategies to maximize sales.
  •  Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Inventory Control and Management:

  • Oversee inventory management activities, including forecasting, planning, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze inventory data, monitor product performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory turnover and reduce obsolescence.
  •  Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, damages, and discrepancies.
  •  Collaborate with the Warehouse team to ensure accurate and efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of inventory.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  •  Lead and supervise a team of wholesale staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and a customer-centric culture.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Delegate responsibilities, set clear expectations, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, procurement activities, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Wholesale Manager or in a similar role within the pharmaceutical wholesale or distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and sales principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the wholesale industry.

Reporting:
The Wholesale Manager shall report directly to the CEO or any other officer appointed by the CEO
