Job Description
Job Summary:
Origin College, an affiliate of Origin Chemist, is seeking an experienced and dynamic College Administrator to join our team. The College Administrator will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion and growth of our college’s pre-tertiary programs, including remedials, short diplomas, and other related offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in college administration, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing quality education and support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Vision:
• Collaborate with the college management team to develop a strategic vision and plan for expanding pre-tertiary programs and meeting the educational needs of a diverse student population.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify demand for specific programs and potential target audiences.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain students, ensuring the college remains competitive and aligned with industry trends. - Program Development and Management:
• Oversee the development and implementation of pre-tertiary programs, including remedials, short diplomas, and other specialized courses.
• Coordinate with faculty and subject matter experts to design curricula that meet quality standards and align with industry requirements.
• Monitor program effectiveness, review student feedback, and make data-driven decisions to improve program offerings and student outcomes. - Student Recruitment and Admission:
• Develop and execute student recruitment strategies, including marketing campaigns, to attract qualified candidates to the college.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to streamline the application and enrollment process, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students.
• Implement student admission criteria and policies that align with regulatory requirements and college standards.
- Academic Administration:
• Provide oversight and support to faculty members, ensuring effective teaching and learning practices.
• Coordinate class scheduling, course registration, and academic records management.
• Monitor academic progress, student attendance, and ensure adherence to college policies and regulations. - Student Support and Services:
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, satisfaction, and success.
• Oversee student support services, including counseling, career guidance, and academic advising.
• Implement strategies to enhance student retention, address student concerns, and promote student well-being. - Financial and Resource Management:
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the college’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial sustainability.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, or sponsorships to support program expansion and development.
• Oversee procurement processes for educational resources, equipment, and facilities to support program delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A master’s degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in college administration, particularly in the pre-tertiary education space.
- Strong knowledge of academic program development, student recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the education sector.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and student information systems.
- Passion for education and a commitment to providing quality learning experiences to students.
