ROLE DESCRIPTION

For this reason, we are looking for a Procurement/Logistics Manager who will collaborate with our Head of Operations to drive excellence in our organization while also supporting our internal Procurement and Logistics units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the entire process in the planning of shea procurement and supply chain activities, inventory
control, logistics and finished products shipment, customs clearance, customer service. - Introduce process improvements in the shea supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and service delivery.
- Monitor shea procurement, sales shipping and delivery of shea and finished products of all solutions.
- Manage vendor contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure completeness of deliverables outlined in the contract.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and progress reports.
- Establish and implement a monitoring system that ensures that the prices paid for shea are in line with
local market prices. - Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers, elaborate supplier selection and evaluation, quality and performance measurement mechanisms.
- Monitor and control all the shea procurement and sales contracts.
- Ensure shea supply chain is in full compliance with company Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management Procurement or any related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Commodity Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain
- Management in private sector. Shea nut related experience is a plus.
- Good knowledge in Project management, ability to understand financial statements, Understanding of ebusiness/e-procurement systems.
- Strong communication skills, including advanced report writing skills, negotiation skills.
- Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local NGOs, government officials, local and international staff.
- Must be willing to travel to visit suppliers’ site and conduct supply market intelligence.
- Ability to speak French fluently is a plus,
