You will provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to clients by the standards of pharmaceutical care and guidelines for pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications, ensuring proper labelling and packaging.
  • Clinically screen all prescriptions to verify dosage, medication information and safety for the patient and resolve any therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Manage medical complaints and symptoms, provide treatment and refer patients to appropriate healthcare physicians.
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care on the safe use of medicines, side effects, drug interactions and proper storage of medications to clients.
  • Provide pharmacy counselling services to clients.
  • Deliver a range of professional pharmaceutical services.
  • Provide excellent customer service and effectively handle customer enquiries and concerns.
  • Provide administrative support, including processing insurance claims, managing phone calls, organizing paperwork and scheduling appointments.
  • Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment and software systems.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking medications under the appropriate pharmacological class.
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures, ethics and guidelines for pharmaceutical services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/ Pharm D / M Pharm
  • A registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana with a valid license to practice as a Pharmacist.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a community pharmacy.
  • Excellent medication and clinical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy dispensing software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to continue to learn, update pharmaceutical knowledge and develop professionally.
