We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail pharmacy team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

•  Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance and answering any questions they may have.
•  Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, including scanning items, entering prices, and accepting payment.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash handling procedures.
• Provide information about products, services, and promotions to customers, making recommendations as appropriate.
•  Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely and accurate prescription pickup and payment processing.
• Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
•   Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, as needed.
•  Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to privacy and security of customer information.
•  Continuously update knowledge of pharmacy products and services to provide accurate information to customers.

Requirements:

•  Higher National Diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role, preferably in a retail setting.
•  Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately handle cash transactions and make change.
•  Attention to detail and the ability to work with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
•  Knowledge of pharmacy products and services is a plus, but not required.
