Role Purpose:

The IT Project Management Officer leads and coordinates IT projects from planning to completion to deliver solutions that achieve business objectives on schedule and budget.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects collaborating with technology teams, business stakeholders and vendor partners
• Create detailed project plans and schedules with tasks, timelines, milestones, resources and budgets
• Proactively identify, analyze and troubleshoot issues and delays to minimize risks
• Monitor progress across all phases to ensure execution as per plans and take corrective actions
• Manage third party vendors and outsourced development
• Track key project metrics related to budgets, quality, changes and team productivity
• Document lessons learned post project completion to guide future initiatives
• Prepare status updates and present reports to senior management highlighting progress, roadblocks and next steps
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement in IT project execution

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of IT project management experience preferably in the banking sector
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage
• In-depth understanding of technical development and implementation
• Strong track record meeting project goals and stakeholder expectations
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills
• High level of proficiency in using project management software tools
