Job Description
HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Village of Hope is a reputable Not-for-Profit Organization (N.P.O) that works in the area of childcare, healthcare and education.
We seek an experienced and skilled HR Officer to join our company’s human resources team, responsible for initiating and assisting in HR systems design, initiating HR projects and intervention to support the achievement of company and department objectives.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist to write and review HR policies and procedures, forms, tools and templates in line with business objectives.
- Prepare/assist to prepare contract of employment documents, including general conditions of service.
- Assist and liaise with leaders in the preparation of job descriptions using the stratified systems theory principles that reflect role level, focus and accountabilities.
- Perform administrative processes relating to talent acquisition, on-boarding and separation.
- Assist in coordinating performance management goal setting and reviews processes.
- Provide general HR administration services to ensure the department operates efficiently.
- Support in the design of HR Analytics that gives account of HR’s value to the business (Dashboard, reporting, trends etc.)
- Design HR forms and tools to support HR and line department service delivery.
- Support with People and Organizational development work stream processes and activities.
- Participate in the setting of HR objectives that drive company and department objectives.
- Assist to prepare the department’s month end report and other periodic reports as directed by leader.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by leader from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Three (3) years working experience in a similar position.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Ghana Labour Law, 2003 (Act 651) and Workman Compensation Law 1987
- (PNDCL 187).
- Ability to use HR software and ERP systems.
- Computer literacy skills; Microsoft (word, excel and power point).
