Job Description

 

Village of Hope is a reputable Not-for-Profit Organization (N.P.O) that works in the area of childcare, healthcare and education.

We seek a skilled and compassionate Accounts and Administrative Officer to manage the financial and administrative operations of our orphanage home, ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our children and stakeholders.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records and accounts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and budgets.
  • Oversee and process transactions, payments, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Supervise and support administrative staff.
  • Coordinate and maintain records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team.
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and supplies.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with auditors and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to staff on administrative tasks.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and implement fundraising and income-generating activities.
  • Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leader.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting and administration.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with financial regulations and standards.
  • Compassionate and understanding approach to working with vulnerable people.
