Job Description
As a Senior Automobile Engineer at Solar Taxi, you will be providing a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills and a deep understanding of automotive engineering principles in specific areas of the design, development, and implementation of electric vehicle systems. You will often collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on diverse projects to the success of our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers working on electric vehicle projects.
- Ensure electric vehicle systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design and development of electric powertrain systems for electric vehicles.
- Manage and coordinate projects related to automobile design, development, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, software development and vehicle integration teams for design requirements to be met.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on automotive systems and electric vehicles.
- Minimum of five years proven leadership experience in managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle architectures, battery technologies, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with automotive safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
