Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for managing retail shops to meet sales targets. H/She is also responsible for ensuring that promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Use information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
  • Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.
  • Respond to customer complaints and comments.
  • Organize special promotions, displays and events.
  • Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues.
  • Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
  • Manage stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in the retail shops.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
  • Initiate changes to improve the business, e.g., revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market.
  • Deal with sales, as and when required.
  • Achieve Retail Sales target.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively contributing to the delivery and achievement of the Department’s Management Processes.

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
  2. Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions.
  3. Risk Assessment
  4. Hazard identification and reporting
  5. Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable

Required Skills or Experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must understand basic principles and fundamentals of marketing.
  • Must possess a strategic and creative mindset.
  • Must have experience in online community management.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, to understand and drive conversations with target audience.
  • Possession of analvtical skills to uncover underling thoughts and insights generated from interactions within the community.
  • Must possess the ability to lead discussions on online marketing strategies.
  • Must poses excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Market research skills.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/electronic engineering, Marketing, Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • 3 years’ experience in sales
