Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for managing retail shops to meet sales targets. H/She is also responsible for ensuring that promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
- Use information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
- Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.
- Respond to customer complaints and comments.
- Organize special promotions, displays and events.
- Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues.
- Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
- Manage stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in the retail shops.
- Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
- Initiate changes to improve the business, e.g., revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market.
- Deal with sales, as and when required.
- Achieve Retail Sales target.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively contributing to the delivery and achievement of the Department’s Management Processes.
OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
- Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions.

- Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable

- Must understand basic principles and fundamentals of marketing.

- Must have excellent communication skills, to understand and drive conversations with target audience.
- Possession of analvtical skills to uncover underling thoughts and insights generated from interactions within the community.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/electronic engineering, Marketing, Humanities and Social Sciences.
- 3 years’ experience in sales
