Job Title: Radio Access Network Manager
Reports To: CTO
Role Purpose:
The RAN Planning and Optimization Manager will be responsible for the MOC network infrastructure
planning and optimization and ensure 24/7 service running of the network at optimum level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the RAN network planning process including nominal site planning and simulations
• Ensure Network rollout activities go according to design and technical specifications
• Network Optimization, Capacity & Performance Management
• Managing vendor and subcontractor activities and engagements
• Coordinating stakeholder and customer engagements
• Managing the network configuration activities
• Managing network operation and management activities
• Managing the IP/Core network planning and maintenance
• Help to define processes and procedures for network engineering tasks
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation on current network architecture and services
• Conduct daily, weekly & monthly analysis of the statistics from the live network nodes, trend
analyses, capacity planning and expansion in line with network growth trends and increases in
traffic
• Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Network reports
• Drive technology innovation by keeping up to date with technology that can translate into cost
saving and competitive advantage for the organization
• SLA negotiations and management
• Ensuring network KPIs and SLAs are met
• Network security and accounting management
• Providing technical support to the sales and marketing team when required
• Provide VIP customer handling and support
Experience and Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication or related
field of study
• 8+ years of experience in 2G/3G/4G RAN network planning and optimization
• At least 5 years in network management/leadership role
• Strong KPIs & SLA management experience
• Strong knowledge of Huawei equipment is preferred
• Good Knowledge about mobile network structure and service flows
• Good knowledge of 2G/3G/4G technologies and protocols
• Experience with BSC/RNC/BTS migrations and cutovers planning
• Basic knowledge about network transmission planning
• Ability to extract implementation requirements and details from a high-level request description
• Knowledge of Huawei RuralStar solution is a plus
• Other duties that may be required by the project
Soft Skills Requirement:
• Strong leadership and customer facing skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Able to work on multiple tasks, dealing with multiple functions and managing multiple resources
• Documentation and presentation skill is highly desirable, especially using excel, Word, PowerPoint
