Job Summary:
The HACSA Foundation is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to serve as the Operations Manager responsible for overseeing and managing the internal affairs of the HACSA Foundation, overseeing and managing programs, conducting policy analysis and strongly supporting fundraising for the organization. They will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization, grow HACSA’s programs, ensure the quality of all work, build and support the capacity and effectiveness of HACSA’s teams and ensure the staff and organization attain their goals.
The ideal candidate will have a dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit and experience managing many facets of an organization during a period of significant growth. They will assist the President in addressing and managing a range of strategic issues including enhancing organisational and administrative effectiveness, governance and oversight of the HACSA Foundation and its branches, providing staff leadership, overall strategic planning for the organization as a whole and for individual programs and initiatives. They will provide strong and effective leadership by defining operational expectations, monitoring and evaluating progress in achieving those expectations, providing a work environment supportive of organisational accomplishments and individual growth, and evaluating the annual performance of employees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
– Manage the organisation’s daily operations, including but not limited to facilities, IT, and administrative functions.
– Optimise operational processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
– Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the foundation’s values and objectives.
2. Program Management:
– Develop, implement, and oversee programs and initiatives in alignment with the foundation’s mission and objectives.
– Monitor program performance, assess their impact, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
– Collaborate with program staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
3. Financial Oversight:
– Assist in budget development and financial planning to ensure responsible resource allocation.
– Monitor and track expenses to maintain the financial health of the organization.
– Prepare reports for senior management and board members.
4. Staff Leadership:
– Perform HR functions, supervise and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
– Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to enhance team productivity.
5. Community Engagement:
– Build and maintain relationships with community partners, donors, stakeholders and volunteers.
– Represent HACSA Foundation at public events, conferences, and meetings to promote our mission.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field
At least 5 years proven experience in program management, operations, or related roles
Experience in the nonprofit sector or in fundraising
International experience or experience working for an international organisation
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
– Strong project management and organisational abilities.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Team player with excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
– Demonstrated commitment to the organisation’s mission and values.
