MCA PROCUREMENT OFFICER

REPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT PHARMACIST

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Counter Assistant Procurement Officer will provide full administration support to the procurement pharmacist in coordinating the workflow and services related to the department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Strong prescription analylsis and comprehension.
• Understanding of medication types, dosage, route and associated brands and generics.
• Practical Knowledge in inventory software, microsoft excel and word.
• To ensure physical stock take correct in compared to system and give explanation for variances.
• Maintains oversight of emergency supplies and local purchaces as directed.
• Maintain and monitor the accuracy of inventory and timely replenishment.
• Ensure stock is well packaged, delivered and received at branches.
• Ensure all documentations related to responsibility are accurately processed, distributed and released to all concerned in a timely manner.
• Ensures all responsibilities are complied with any company policy, systems, and industry.
• Assist team with any other procurement matters when necessary.
• Report all responsibilities to Supervisor and Procurement Pharmacist.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• WASSCE or its equivalent
• MCA Certificate is a benefit
• Software/Computer adept
• Works well with a Team
• Detail Oriented
• Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills
• Knowledge of Medication and the procurement process
• Adaptive Leaner
