JOB DESCRIPTION  – DATA ANALYST

The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that drive informed decision-making and business growth. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools, and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Cleaning:

• Collect, organize, and clean large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and missing values to maintain data integrity.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data.
• Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights.

Data Visualization and Reporting:

• Create visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate key findings and trends to stakeholders.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and recommendations.

Predictive Modeling and Forecasting:

• Develop predictive models and forecasting algorithms to anticipate future trends and outcomes based on historical data.
• Evaluate model performance and refine algorithms to improve accuracy and reliability.

Business Intelligence and Decision Support:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
• Provide analytical support and recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data analytics and technology.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance data analysis capabilities and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
