We provide solutions in digital marketing, public relations, influencer marketing, live experiences, events and partnerships.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to keep the customer (and the agency) satisfied. You will typically handle a number of marketing accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. You will also represent your clients in internal meetings. You will focus on the accurate and timely delivery of work, ensuring commercial success for both client and agency. The role will require a careful balance between clients’ needs and wants, and Curate’s bottom line. You will play a crucial role in client retention as well as bringing in new business.

Note: The term ‘client’ may also refer to Curate where internal projects are concerned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Development
  • Prepare responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Present proposals at pitch presentations
  • Spot opportunities for new business and actively sell Curate’s services
  • Prepare proposals for agency collateral events and assist with sourcing partners where applicable
2. Client Relationships
  • Build and maintain good client relationships
  • Participate actively in client calls and take control of your client meetings
  • Meet regularly with client teams to plan and progress account activity
  • Proactively propose campaigns that address clients’ marketing needs
  • Gather, share and act quickly upon feedback from the client on campaign work
  • Utilize your experience to respond to situations promptly
3. Strategy
  • Plan and conduct desk and market research as pertains to proposals and executions
  • Develop an understanding of marketing strategies and tactics that will be appropriate and effective for your clients and agency
  • Participate in brand/study planning workshops
4. Creative
  • Develop ideas briefs, feeding in research/account/marketing knowledge
  • Brief creatives team in a simple and concise manner, ensuring that they are fully aware of client’s requirements
  • Provide input for, and critique creative work
  • Ensure that the creative output matches the client’s brief and Curate’s standards
  • Challenge client thinking when appropriate in line with campaign objectives and core creative idea
5. Delivery
  • Ensure that contact reports are produced in a timely manner
  • Brief relevant internal teams on assigned projects
  • Review client briefs for assigned projects and draft marketing plans/proposals for approval by Lead Strategist
  • Manage and update project trackers on a daily basis
  • Review production timelines with vendors and monitor progress of projects
  • Take client feedback throughout the development process and ensure project is signed off at completion by client
  • Ensure that both internal and external stakeholders are informed of all developments, including budget, time, and any delivery issues at every stage
  • Identify opportunities to improve agency process and optimize profitability
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years marketing or advertising agency experience required
  • Proficient with MS Office, Canva, social media platforms
  • Fair understanding of paid ads, PPC, SEO, email marketing, etc
SKILLS:
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, multitasking and decision-making skills
  •  Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to understand client’s business model
  • Ability to research and understand the marketplace and factors affecting sales performance
  • Must be a highly-motivated individual
