Job Description
The Senior Associate has a full range of assurance tasks including planning, testing, reviewing, and reporting stages on audits and works across other financial advisory services.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping to define the audit plan and strategy
- Performance of audit procedures related to client’s financial statements
- Supervision of junior engagement team members in executing the audit approach
- Performing a first level review of work of staff assigned and preparing reports
Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, science, engineering, economics, or a relevant field.
- Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
- Three (3) years of experience in external auditing or public accounting, preferably with exposure to various industries and clients.
- Proficiency in international standards on auditing (ISAs), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and or generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines, including local regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and evaluate financial statements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders, and present audit findings and recommendations.
- Meticulous in reviewing financial information, documentation, and workpapers, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential errors.
- Ability to lead and supervise audit teams, delegate tasks, and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheet applications, and other relevant tools for data analysis and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple audit engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to uphold high ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality and objectivity throughout the auditing process.
