Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To undertake the entry of accounting data, processing, and compilation of periodic reports to feed into the overall Reporting of the Finance and Accounts Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Bank reconciliation of Sales Accounts, Mobile Money Accounts, Donations, and Project Accounts at 3 Banks: ABSA, ECOBANK and GCB.
  • Compute and monitor Exchange rate differentials.
  • Monitor to ensure reconciliations of sales and donations are done by Heads of Departments of Distribution, Church Relations and Resource Mobilisation.
  • Keep an upto date Fixed Assets Register.
  • Review Tally Accounts.
  • Monitor Staff Business Imprest and Regional Office
  • Business Imprest to ensure retirements are done and balances are at the barest minimum.
  • Update Suppliers’ Schedule and generate ageing analysis.
  • Support the Finance and Accounts Manager during annual financial audits.
  • Prepare monthly accounts of branches and Bible Village
    Retreat Center.
  • Any other relevant duties to be assigned by the Finance and
  • Accounts Manager.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of 1st Degree – BSc Administration (Accounting/ Finance Option),
  • Partly Qualified ACCA or ICA Ghana (Final Part).
  • At least 5 – 7 years of relevant work experience in
    Accounting and Finance.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adept with accounting software (Tally) .
  • Must have integrity – be truthful and reliable.
  • Ability to take initiative and must have a good sense of judgement.
  • Must be familiar with IRS.
  • Must have good understanding of financial and accounting principles, systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of Companies Act 2019 (Act 992)
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and manage self to deliver results.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Good presentation, administrative, organizational and communication skills
