Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the team to produce finished goods that meet customer specifications while adhering to the food safety management system
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Take charge of the shift transition from the previous supervisor, ensuring seamless handover and setting up the team for efficient production
- Supervise production line operations, ensuring compliance with plant policies and procedures by regularly visiting all stations
- Configure equipment parameters to optimize product output and quality
- Address production issues promptly to minimize downtime and achieve production targets
- Coach and motivate production line operators to enhance productivity and performance
- Conduct staff appraisals to improve overall team performance
- Coordinate production shutdowns, start-ups, and changeovers to minimize risks to both the plant and product integrity
- Maintain updated production data for analysis and continuous improvement planning
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Process, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience at the supervisory level in a food manufacturing environment is required
- Proficiency in Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is required
