Job Title: MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Reports to: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for providing effective and efficient mechanical maintenance of equipment to ensure maximum equipment availability at all times. The Mechanical Technician will be expected to comply with Health & safety standards, lead implementation of safety initiatives and maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness in the assigned area.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Mechanical Engineering Technician or Certificate with 3 years’ working experience in a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with automated and manual machines
• Experience with Maintenance & Repair of machinery and equipment
• Excellent understanding of mechanical processes and maintenance routines
• Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faults using industry-standard procedures and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  Ability to work in a team as well as independently
