The team has expertise in the areas of private equity, corporate finance advisory, asset management, management consulting and project management.

Job Description

The company seeks an experienced human resources professional to be responsible for the wellbeing of personnel and attracting new talent. The Human Resources Associate will develop, implement and manage policies and programs for recruitment; compensation and rewards; performance management; employee engagement; as well as learning and development leveraging technology and company networks. The Human Resources Associate will also contribute to service delivery of the investment and project teams as needed. The applicant should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in human resource management, psychology or related discipline. The role will be based in Ghana with potential travel to other Injaro offices.

Key Responsibilities

HR Policies and Planning

  • Advise on HR strategies, policies and practices which support the achievement of firmwide
    objectives and fulfilment of obligations to employees
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, processes and practices are in compliance with legislative,
    regulatory and audit requirements. Ensure that people risks are adequately identified and
    mitigated
  • Support hiring and retention to meet business requirements and succession planning o Monitor progress and impact of HR plans and policies using relevant KPIs
  • Compensation and Rewards Management
  • Regularly review and update the compensation, reward and recognition programs to align
    with changing firmwide needs, industry trends, and employee preferences
  • Establish mechanisms to measure the effectiveness and impact of the compensation, reward
    and recognition programs
    Performance Management
  • Design and maintain performance management processes that make a significant
    contribution to employee motivation, performance and development
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to team leads (i.e., coaching,
    counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Foster a performance-driven culture by promoting a shared understanding of performance
    expectations, providing resources and tools for success, and aligning performance
    management practices with the organization’s values and strategic priorities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of performance-related discussions, evaluations,
    feedback, and developmental plans

Employee Engagement, Learning and Development

  • Conduct objective measurement of employee sentiments using customized employee
    engagement surveys to determine employee perceptions, make data-based
    recommendations and partner with team leads to execute agreed actions
  • Advise team leads on employee relations issues and mediate to resolve conflicts
  • Organize team retreats and off sites
  • Create and implement employee development programs to meet identified needs for
    learning, skill-building, and advancement
  • Service Delivery to Investment and Project Teams
  • Support the conduct of HR due diligence or assessments for target portfolio companies
  • Review third-party HR vendor recommendations and implementation plans
  • Provide talent screening and recruitment support for client projects
  • Provide post-investment support for monitoring organizational culture, change management
    initiatives and other HR-related aspects of value creation plans

Qualifications

  • Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or relevant discipline
  • Have a minimum of eight (8) years’ professional experience
  • Good level of maturity and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to customize and deliver integrated HR practices
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; is prompt and sets demanding goals for self and others
  • Is innovative and achieves results in an environment that evolves quickly and where there may be few precedents to guide planning and implementation
  • Ability to put people at ease and build sound relationships based on mutual trust and openness
  • Demonstrates courage and assertiveness to provide direct constructive feedback
  • Communicate and write effectively in English, French is a plus.
  • Competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
