Role Description: Head of Finance

We seek a full-time, on-site Head of Finance to join our dynamic team in Haatso, Accra. This role is crucial in guiding ShaQ Express’s financial direction, ensuring financial health and sustainability through expert management and strategic foresight. The Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations, produce accurate financial statements, lead financial planning and budgeting efforts, and provide insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with company objectives.
• Manage the preparation and oversight of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
• Ensure robust financial reporting systems comply with regulatory legislation and professional standards.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, forecast needs, and enhance efficiency.
• Design and maintain a reliable budgeting process that supports strategic initiatives and operational requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team to ensure productivity and engagement.
• Collaborate with senior management to optimize financial performance and operational strategies.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4-7 years of professional experience in finance, with experience in the tech industry preferred.
• Must be a Chartered or hold a comparable professional finance qualification.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budget management, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a finance team.
• Proficient in advanced financial software platforms and tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial tasks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in corporate finance taxation.
