Job Description

GENERAL MANAGER

 

Responsible for the overall direction, management, supervision and monitoring of the strategic and operational performance of the Company to ensure the attainment of business goals/objectives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Management Team in the development of a vision and strategic plan to guide the Company for Board’s approval.
  • Lead in the development of strategic options and operational plans that incorporate the goals/objectives of the Company to maximise shareholder value and position the Company for increase in return on investments.
  • initiate action for the review of existing policies and standards to reflect the changing needs of clients/customers in the Company’s operations.
  • Exemplify the Company’s culture, values, standards and reputation in order to inculcate the Company’s vision, values, strategy and philosophy among staff and clients.
  • Comply with the Board’s directives on matters of policy. good governance and accountability.
  • Any other strategic duties as may be assigned by the Chief
  • Operating Officer or the Board from time to time.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of DocuPro’s programmes and services and monitor to ensure improvement in operational quality.
  • Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations and monitor their implementation to ensure strict adherence.
  • Responsible for determining the staffing requirements for organizational management and effective service delivery. identify and evaluate the risks to the Company’s operations, clients, staff, property, finances, goodwill and image and implement measures to control risks.
  • Direct the preparation of the annual operating budget for DocuPro and submit to the Chief Operating Officer for approval and monitor the operating/financial results against plans and budgets.
  • Direct and manage business activities in order to maximise the Company’s financial resources to ensure financial objectives and benchmarks are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor to ensure that the Company complies with all legislation covering taxation and withholding payments.
  • Coordinate all Internal and external audit programmes of the Company and follow-up to ensure that audit queries are handled expeditiously.
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise in the conception and formulation of new business ideas into saleable services and identify potential investors/partners for off-taker agreements in line with DocuPro’s long-term vision and business strategy.
  • Review, analyse and evaluate approved business strategies/plan for new business initiatives and provide detailed financial models to examine value of income generating business model ideas in line with the Company’s overall strategy/plan.

Education

  • Master’s Degree or its equivalent professional qualification in Business Administration,
  • Organizational Leadership & Governance, or a related field.
  • Must be a member of a recognized professional body.

Experience

  • Twelve (12) years of relevant working experience with at least eight (8) years in a senior management position.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in strategic business operations and portfolio management.
  • Excellent knowledge in B2B and B2G transactions.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience infinancial management and administration.
  • Strong ability to develop new and unique ways to improve operations and create new opportunities.
  • High ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of an organization.
  • Strong ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks and make timely andclear decisions.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and understanding of monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.
  • Strong project management, administration and coordination skills.
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting, corporate finance and business reporting.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of operational risk management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersand work effectively with all categories of staff.
  • Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word,PowerPoint, Excel and internet and other software andtools relating to operational management.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, coaching, mentoringand interpersonal skills in a “team” setting.
