We are looking for a meticulous and results-driven professional to fill the role of Inventory Controller Executive/Assistant. As a key member of our Finance and Supply Chain Team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our Inventory Management processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to inventory control, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Inventory Controller Executive/Assistant is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of inventory operations by implementing effective control measures, optimizing stock levels, and fostering strong collaborations with internal teams and external vendors. The primary objective is to maintain accurate inventory records, minimize carrying costs, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain. By leveraging analytical skills and industry best practices, the incumbent aims to enhance inventory accuracy, streamline order processing, and support the organization in achieving its strategic goals. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, meeting customer demands, and minimizing disruptions in the supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

• Execute and refine inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and implement corrective measures to address discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain efficient systems for categorizing, labeling, and tracking inventory items.

Order Processing

• Generate and process purchase orders in accordance with inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors to negotiate terms, lead times, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
• Work closely with the purchasing team to assess lead times and order quantities based on demand forecasts.

Quality Control

• Develop and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve issues related to product defects or discrepancies.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate comprehensive reports on key inventory metrics, including turnover rates, stockouts, and excess stock.
• Analyse data to identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Utilise advanced forecasting techniques to anticipate demand fluctuations and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

Communication and Collaboration

• Foster strong communication channels with internal departments to facilitate seamless information flow.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance overall supply chain performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in driving results.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and analytics software.
• Knowledge of Ghana and its neighbouring countries’ market landscape, consumer behaviour, and regulatory environment.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Passionate about and practises any form of Sports.
