Audit Associate

Involves providing support to the audit team in conducting financial audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislations.

Responsibilities Includes;

• Assist the audit team to plan and execute financial audits by conducting preliminary research, gathering necessary documentation, and preparing workpaper
• Maintain organized and accurate audit files and documentation, including financial statements , supporting evidence, and correspondence.
• Analyze financial data and transact ions to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of risk or non-compliance
• Assist in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and identifying any weaknesses or deficiency
• Conduct audit procedures and tests as assigned, such as verifying account balances, reconciling financial statements, and testing compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualification

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, science, or a relevant field
• Pursuing or holding professional certification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant can be
• Familiarity with auditing principles, practices, and procedures, including an understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis to interpret and evaluate financial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential areas of concern
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders, and to document audit findings and recommendation
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadline
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the audit
