Job Title: Account Supervisor

Location: Tema

Reports To: The CEO

Position Type: Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Management: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and other related documents. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
  4. Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts. Resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  5. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
  6. Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, including calculations, deductions, and timely disbursement. Maintained accurate payroll records and handled payroll-related inquiries.
  7. Tax Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect the company.
  8. Financial Systems and Processes: Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient financial systems and processes. Identify and recommend improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Qualifications & Documents

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
