JOB OPPORTUNITY – RAW MATERIALS WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Premium Foods Limited (PFL) is a leading Agro-processing company in Ghana located at EjisuKwaso in the Ashanti Region. PFL is looking for a well-organized individual with strong analytical skills who pays attention to details to join the team as a Raw Materials Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Profile —

Responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records.

Location & Reporting Line —

The role is based at Premium Foods Limited, Kwaso Factory, Kumasi. The role reports directly to
the Raw Materials Warehouse Manager.

Core Job Content (Key Responsibilities) —

• Ensure materials received meets quality and quantity specifications
• Ensure raw materials needed for production are made available and timely.
• Assist with setting re-order minimum and maximum stock levels for all raw and packaging materials to ensure stocks are replenished at the right level.
• Assist with organizing the receipts of imports and local raw materials and other stock items to ensure imports from ports are well received and in a timely manner to avoid delays and payment of demurrage.
•  Ensure there are adequate stocks of safety and quality raw materials at all times.
• Monitor major materials usage in line with the orders to ensure that there are no stock-outs to disrupt production.
• Grade all incoming maize and record accordingly
• Report materials defects and shortages
• Responsible for ensuring firm stacks are built
• Monitor stocks for deterioration and Maintain stock quality
• Ensure the stocking of raw materials are done within required standards to prevent spoilage, damage and obsolescence.
• Ensure there is a monthly stock take for all raw materials used for production.
• Undertake monthly, quarterly and annual stocktaking of all stock items.
• Eliminate spillage and wastage of raw materials
• Perform physical inventory
• Assist stock treatment: fumigation of stocks
• Supervise Spraying of stocks and premises
• Keep records of all transactions with regards to stipulated requirements
•  Issue stocks out to meet required specification in quality and quantity
• Adhere to FIFO procedure
• Responsible for ensuring the required number of labourers’ report to work

Qualifications, Work Experience & Key Competencies —

• First Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Agriculture or any other related field of study.
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in food manufacturing company a related field
• Good working knowledge in Planning, Budgeting and organizing.
• Thorough understanding of Food Safety Management system and Safety protocols.
• Ability to lead and manage people for success by coordinating with the production, Quality Assurance and procurement team.
• Must have strong analytical and leadership skills
• Self-motivated goal-oriented personality with strong communication, mobilization and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understand of the characteristics of grains
• People management skill
• Attention to details
• Ability to multitask
• Proficient knowledge Microsoft Office
