FINANCE MANAGER

WHY WE NEED YOU

The purpose of this role is to oversee the financial transactions, create financial reports, direct investments and create plans, strategies for the long-term financial benefit and provide annual financial reports to management.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Design, develop and update financial policies and procedures Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and receipting, payment of invoices, payroll, statutory payments and bills.
• Ensure that all operational services are audited for their efficiency and effectiveness on a regular basis, and that suitable risk management arrangements are established
• Co-ordinate the annual audit and follow-up on recommendations and action points raised by auditors
• Prepare and present quarterly and yearly financial budgets and cash flow forecast, and work with CEO to actively monitor and understand budget variances.
• Organize the preparation, approval, and execution of budget and ensure adequate budget control practices
• Manage bank accounts and monitor reconciliations, transactions including wire transfers, credit cards, renewal of Certificates of Deposit, and keeping track of signing authorities.
• Manage liquidity, investments, and foreign exchange per established policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain sound reporting systems to facilitate effective financial management and strong internal control mechanisms.
• Analyze financial and operating data and prepare management reports, periodic and annual financial statements of project accounts

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

Education and Technical

•  Degree in Bsc. Finance or Accounting, or a similar discipline
• Minimum six (6) years’ experience in Finance or Accounting management or similar role in the Engineering industry MBA in Finance or Accounting, or a similar discipline
• ICAG/ACCA/CIMA professional membership is an added advantage Proficiency with computerized financial systems, such as accounting programs, databases, payment processing, excel spreadsheets, payroll services. Ability to prepare for and coordinate financial audits.
• Extensive knowledge in applying accounting procedures and protocols in budget administration and financial forecasting, analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting regulations in Ghana and international auditing standards. Ability to work with multiple currencies.
• Ability to support project partners in the design and implementation of financial management systems, including financial and management reports
