Job Description: As an Investment/Financial Analyst at Solar Taxi, you will play a vital role in shaping our financial strategy, evaluating investment opportunities, and ensuring sound financial decision-making. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a sustainable transportation initiative in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models to analyze the financial performance of the company, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including the financial viability of new projects, partnerships, and business ventures.
• Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators and industry developments that could affect Solar Taxi’s financial performance.
• Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into key financial metrics and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Assist in the capital budgeting process, including the evaluation of investment proposals and the allocation of financial resources.
• Contribute to the development of long-term financial plans and strategies to support the company’s growth and sustainability goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or renewable energy sector.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
