We are seeking to recruit a Quarry Manager to oversee the operations of our clay deposit site in

Torgorme.

The incumbent will plan and coordinate all the quarry operations including the

extraction, processing, and transportation of clay from the quarry site to the CBI factory in Tema.

What you will do

• Ensuring that the company’s Health & Safety policy is implemented throughout the site.

Ensuring staff has a good level of understanding of safety rules and controlling their

implementation. Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments

• Ensuring that the company environment policy is implemented throughout the site.

Developing a good relationship with local communities and organizations. Ensuring our CSR

and the action plan are implemented.

• Recruiting, training, and managing the staff. Dealing with any technical or staffing

challenges

that arise.

• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high-quality product is maintained in

accordance with quality specifications and mining plan guidelines. Doing a topographical

survey regularly

• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is

carried out to the highest standard.

• Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard. Liaising with the heavy

duty service contractor to respect the preventive maintenance schedule.

• Liaising with transport contractors and the plant production team in Tema to maintain a

sufficient level of stock at the plant.

• Providing the cost accounting team with information and statistics on the quarry’s

performances

Who you are

• An experienced professional with at least 5 years in a similar role

• Do you have a minimum of a degree in chemistry, Industrial chemistry, earth science,

geology, or related degrees?

• Do you have the ability to work autonomously and take initiative to achieve goals?

• Do you have strong interpersonal skills?

• Are you a highly organized person who pays attention to details?

• Are you comfortable using modern ICT tools to communicate and work
