JOB OPPORTUNITY – ACCOUNT OFFICER

Our Client is a leading provider of laboratory equipment in Ghana,

and is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Account Officer to join their dynamic team. If you are knowledgeable in taxation and regulatory obligations for businesses in Ghana, this opportunity is for you!

Location: Accra

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Taxation and Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensure timely payment of taxes, and stay updated with tax regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Audit and Internal Controls: Support audits and implement internal controls.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
    Expense Management: Monitor and control operational expenses.
  • Payroll Management: Prepare and process payroll in compliance with labour laws.
  • Customer and Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships and resolve billing/payment issues.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
